Germany supports Vietnam in energy transformation

 

The proposal was made during the 7th Vietnam – Germany Strategic Dialogue on April 3rd in Berlin (Germany).

Michaelis said Germany is ready to assist Vietnam in accessing capital, technology and human resource training within the framework of the Equitable Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) to implement Vietnam’s commitments made at COP26 Conference.

The State Secretary of the German Foreign Ministry also highly appreciated the potential of cooperation between the two sides in the field of labor and vocational training.

In the context that the German Government is currently implementing many policies to attract skilled workers, the two sides can expand cooperation in this field.

On multilateral issues, the two sides affirmed to continue to closely coordinate and support each other in cooperation frameworks such as ASEAN, EU and international organizations, especially in the context that the two countries are both members. The two sides emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, stability and security, including maritime security in the region and the world.

At the dialogue, the two sides also approved the Vietnam – Germany Strategic Action Plan for the period of 2023 – 2025. Accordingly, there will continue to be cooperation in politics – security, economy, climate – energy, science – technology, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

Within the framework of the business trip, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang had an exchange with the advisor of the German President Wolfgang Silbermann, working with the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and agencies beside the embassy.
