    In his welcome speech, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh emphasized that, despite being geographically far apart, Vietnam and Hungary are two countries with many similarities in cultural and historical traditions.     Currently, there are more than 600 Vietnamese international students studying and working in Hungary; in which, each year Hungary gives Vietnam 200 scholarships. To date, Hungary has trained more than 4,000 international students for Vietnam with qualifications in science, technology, economic management and other fields, many of which have become key leaders in the system. These are the foundations and precious capital, creating an important premise for the further development of friendship cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary in the coming period.

    The Deputy Prime Minister said that Vietnam is a country with nearly 100 million people and is at the golden age of population; always consider education and training as the top national policy. Over the years, Vietnam has paid special attention to developing and perfecting mechanisms and policies and prioritizing investment resources for education and training. On the basis of the National Assembly promulgating the Education Law in 2019 and the amended and supplemented Law on Higher Education in 2018, the Government has implemented many tasks and solutions on education and training development. The quality of education in Vietnam has many positive changes. According to USNEWS's ranking of the best countries for education in 2021, Vietnam ranks 59th, up 5 places compared to 2020. Many Vietnamese universities have been ranked in 1,000 good universities ranked first in the world at prestigious rankings in 2022. International cooperation in education and training has been extended to more than 100 countries, territories and international organizations.

    The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Forum had the participation of Professor, Dr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the National Assembly, a mature leader from the education industry and always interested in this field. In particular, the results of the visit of the high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam led by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to Hungary and the documents signed at the Forum will open a new era, speeding up further realizing commitments and goals in Vietnam - Hungary educational development cooperation.

    At the Forum, on behalf of the high-ranking delegation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the Government of Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister exchanged a number of contents. Accordingly, in the immediate future, agencies of Vietnam and Hungary need to promote cooperation to effectively implement the signed agreements on education.     The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation shared that in the past two years, Hungary has changed its training and college system and has used up to 2% of GDP for higher education, thereby contributing to better educational quality and competitiveness of Hungarian education.

    Thanks to Vietnamese friends who have had good cooperation with Hungarian partners in the field of education and training, the Secretary of State of the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and Innovation shared that there are Hungarian universities standing in the top 1% of the world's universities. “We are striving to have at least one university in the top 100 of the best universities in the world”, said Mr. Balazs Hanko, and expressed his belief that this cooperation will continue to be strengthened and improved. develop in the future.

    Professor, Dr. László Borhy, President of the Association of Hungarian Universities and Colleges said that this is the third time the forum has been held. The Hungarian representations at home and abroad, the Association of Universities and Colleges of Hungary attach great importance to cooperation with international universities to promote cooperative relations.
